Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 25 June 2025
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to the products and services provided by Flow Joinery Ltd ("we", "our", "us") and to your use of our website flowjoinery.co.nz. By requesting a quote, engaging us for a project, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Quotes & pricing
Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless stated otherwise. A quote is an estimate based on the information and measurements available at the time and may be revised following a site visit or if the scope of the project changes.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD). Unless clearly stated in your quote, prices exclude work by other trades (such as plumbing, electrical and gas), appliances, and any building, flooring or decorating work.
2. Acceptance & deposits
A project is confirmed once you have accepted your quote in writing and paid any deposit specified. We may require a deposit before design work, ordering of materials or manufacture begins.
Manufacture is scheduled only after your final design, materials and finishes have been signed off and the agreed deposit has been received.
3. Design & approval
We will work with you to finalise the design, layout, materials and finishes for your project. It is your responsibility to check and approve the final design, including all measurements, colours and specifications, before manufacture begins.
Because every piece is made to measure, changes requested after sign-off may affect the price and timeline, and additional charges may apply for work already completed or materials already ordered.
4. Payment terms
Payment is due in accordance with the schedule set out in your quote or invoice. Where staged payments apply, each stage falls due as specified (for example, on order, before installation, and on completion).
We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit card, bank transfer, PayPal and cheque. Title to all goods remains with Flow Joinery Ltd until payment has been received in full. If you have any questions about an invoice, please contact us at info@flowjoinery.co.nz.
5. Site access, measurements & installation
You agree to provide safe and timely access to the installation site, and to ensure the area is ready for installation (for example, that old joinery has been removed and required trades have completed their work) unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
While we measure carefully on site, you are responsible for ensuring that access routes allow delivery and installation of the finished joinery. Delays caused by site conditions or other trades may affect the agreed timeline.
6. Timelines
We will provide an estimated schedule for your project and make every reasonable effort to meet it. Timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control, including supplier lead times, weather, and the readiness of the site or other trades.
7. Workmanship warranty
We proudly back our work with a 5-year workmanship warranty covering defects in the joinery we manufacture and install, under normal residential or commercial use.
Appliances, hardware and materials supplied by third parties are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, alterations by others, or normal wear and tear, including natural variation and movement in timber and natural materials.
8. Cancellations & variations
If you wish to cancel or vary a confirmed project, please let us know in writing as soon as possible. You may be charged for design work, materials ordered and work completed up to the point of cancellation.
Any variation to the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing and may affect the price and timeline. Please also see our Refund Policy for further detail.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to remedying defective workmanship in accordance with our warranty, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
10. Website use & intellectual property
All content on our website, including images of our projects, text and branding, is owned by or licensed to Flow Joinery Ltd and may not be reproduced without our permission. Our website is provided on an "as is" basis and we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
